Rho Kappa Omega Chapter, in partnership with the American Heart Association, will host a “Pink Goes Red For Heart Health” event on Friday, February 3, 2017. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for heart disease and stroke in women, as well as encouraging regular well-visits and increased physical activity. Participants will provided with health-related literature and information at the event. Guests will also have an opportunity to participate in line dancing and other forms of physical activity.
The Pink Goes Red for Heart Health event will be held at the Mary McLeod Bethune Center, 140 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305 from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Admission is free to the public.
Rho Kappa Omega Chapter, in partnership with Community Blood Services, will be hosting its MLK Day of Service Blood Drive on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00PM. A bone marrow registry will also take place from 4:30 to 7:30PM. All interested donors must be at least 110lbs, eat a meal before donation and must possess a valid ID.
