Join the Rho Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated on Saturday, May 21 when we host our "AKA1908 Play Project: Putting the Play Back in Playgrounds" event. This program is aligned with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated's Target IV: Environmental Ownership platform. Members will restore 1,908 existing community and school playgrounds via its "Renew, Refresh and Renew Project."
We invite you to help us restore Arlington Park in Jersey City and put the "play" back in playground. The family-friendly, free event will include basketball & soccer clinics, double-dutch training, face painting, food, music and more! This event is also sponsored by Andy's Catering, Community Helpers, His Hands Ministry, Friends of Arlington Park & Prayer Warriors and will take place from 11:00 - 5:00PM.
The Rho Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, in connection with AngelaCARES, Inc. is participating in The Longest Day® to honor those facing Alzheimer’s with my strength, heart, and endurance. This is our way of saying: I will not give up. I will not back down. I will defeat Alzheimer’s!
The Longest Day is a sunrise-to-sunset team event that raises funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. This event is about passion and endurance — but it’s also about a challenge. On June 21, 2015, the longest day of the year, our team will complete nearly 16 hours of activities.
Please join the Rho Kappa Omega team and show that you’re in it until Alzheimer’s is finished! Our goal is to raise $500!
