Pink Goes Red for Heart Health
In partnership with the American Heart Association, Rho Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc will host our Annual Pink Goes Red for Heart Health event on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m at Sanon Global 151 Martin Luther King Dr. Jersey City, NJ 07305.
This year PKQ will have a guest speaker Marcus L. Williams MD FACC, FAHA that will provide important information about heart health in women, and issues of heart disease. We will then dance it up with "Zumba J", the Fitness Partiologist that will lead us in an awesome ZUMBA workout! Information from the American Heart Association will be provided to guest as well as blood pressure screenings, prizes, and healthy snacks.
Don't miss out on this awesome event as we bring awareness while having FUN raising money for a great cause. The American Heart Association Go Red for Women is a national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. Cardiovascular diseases kill approximately 1 in 3 women each year, however 80% of cardiac events could be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Bring a friend, neighbor, or family member because pink is going red for a day bringing awareness to heart health.
Also don't forget your $5 dollar donation or a warm wrap (scarf, gloves, hats)!!! See you there.
