The Flow Initiative and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.® Rho Kappa Omega Chapter Host “Her Wellness, Her Power: A Menopause Conversation” in Jersey City

Women’s health event focuses on menopause awareness and empowerment duringWomen’s History Month




JERSEY CITY, NJ – [Tuesday, March 18, 2025]


The Flow Initiative, in collaboration with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.® Rho Kappa Omega Chapter, proudly presents Her Wellness, Her Power: A Menopause Conversation, an educational and empowering women’s health event taking place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM ET at Dvora Hall, 172 2nd Street, Jersey City, NJ.


This collaborative event honors Women’s History Month by creating a supportive space for women of all ages to learn about menopause and women’s health. The program will feature an insightful menopause panel discussion, a special screening of The M Factor by Emmy Award-winning journalist and menopause advocate Tamsen Fadel, and an engaging post-screening conversation.


“This event is a powerful opportunity to break the silence surrounding menopause and offer women the education, tools, and community they deserve,” said Eiko La Boria, Founder and CEO of The Flow Initiative. “As an organization dedicated to advancing menstrual and menopause equity, we believe these conversations are long overdue. We are proud to partner with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.® Rho Kappa Omega Chapter to create a space where women can feel seen, supported, and empowered.”


The Flow Initiative and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.® Rho Kappa Omega Chapter have designed this event to address an often overlooked topic in women’s health. From stigma and misinformation to workplace challenges and healthcare disparities, the conversation on menopause is long overdue.

As Alpha Kappa Alpha women, we are committed to uplifting our communities and providing education on women’s health as it is a key part of our mission. Women’s health is a key component in empowering our families as women often stand at the helm of their households. If we can ensure her wellness then we ensure everyone's wellness.”
